Contest Information

Rules
The Census2010 Video Contest Rules (downloadable pdf) provide complete guidelines and explanations for the contest.

The following is only a summary. Please read the Rules (downloadable pdf) in full before creating your video.

Eligibility

Only currently enrolled students (Winter 2010 semester/quarter) attending the University of Michigan-Flint, Kettering University, Baker College or Mott Community College may submit a video ad.
Only one entry may be submitted by each individual or group.
Videos must be submitted no later than March 18, 2010.
All participants in the video ad must agree to terms of the Release Form (downloadable pdf).

Video Content Rules

Videos must address the purpose of the advertising campaign.
Videos must give accurate information about Census2010.
Videos must be 60 seconds or less.
Videos must conform to format and resolution set out in Rules (downloadable pdf).
Videos must not contain any copyrighted or objectionable material.
Submitting Your Completed Video
Videos must be uploaded to YouTube
Videos must be submitted to the contest via the Entry Form.

Awards
A total of $2300 in cash prizes will be awarded.
One first-place prize of $1000; one second-place prize of $600; one third-place prize of $400; one fourth-place prize of $300 each will be awarded.
Each entry can win only one award.
Submitted videos will be voted on by students who attend the "College Town Census Awareness Kick-Off" on March 21st from 12noon - 2:30pm. The kick-off will take place at the Riverfront Residence Hall in downtown Flint. Winners will be announced at 3pm.
