National Census Day is April 1

The Genesee County Complete Count Committee cordially invites you to join us as we "March to the Mailbox" Thursday, April 1 at 9 a.m. to mail your sealed 2010 Census envelope.

We are working toward a 100% count of county residents in the 2010 Census. National Census Day is April 1, and there is a lot at stake for Genesee County. For every county resident that is not counted in the 2010 Census, it results in the loss of money and power for our community. Genesee County loses more than $1,000 a year for each person missed by the Census - that's over $10,000 per person over 10 years!

Lot A on the UM-Flint Campus will be used to stage this event. We will use the bike trail along the Flint River to march to the main Post Office on Robert T. Longway. We will be joined by the Postmaster, postal service employees and media partners.

This census event will be observed nationwide. We look forward to your support.
